On January 25th, 2012 the General Mufti, Dr. Mustafa Hadji met His Excellency Golamriza Bageri, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bulgaria.

The purpose of this meeting was the establishment of cooperation between Bulgarian Muslims and their Iranian brothers in the field of religion and science. Possibilities for joint scientific conferences and exchange of experience in the field of science and culture were discussed.
General Mufti Office thinks over the ides to order major books in fikih of Iranian authors, which would be used by experts and lecturers in the High Islamic Institute.
The meeting was also attended by Hairy Emin, the secretary of international affairs of the General Mufti Office and the ambassador was accompanied by the cultural attaché of the embassy, Mr. Mohsen Panahande.
