On January 25th, 2012, in the Press Cultural Center at the General Mufti Office was held a meeting-discussion title: „Creation of the World in monotheistic religions”.
The discussion was organized by the Students’ Council at the High Islamic Institute – Sofia with the support of the General Mufti Office of Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria, Central Israeli Spiritual Council, Jewish Organization “Shalom”, Ethnopalitra Foundation and Theological Faculty of SU “Kliment Ohridski”. Rabbi Josh Arens on behalf of the Synagogue in Sofia, Dr. Anna Marinova from Theological Faculty of SU “Kliment Ohridski” and Dr. Sefer Hasanov from the High Islamic Institute- Sofia took part. Interesting facts were presented regarding the creation of the World, how days were interpreted in the context of time? What happened in the Gardens of Eden? What is Original sin? How God created the man in His own image and likeness? The discussion claims to be the pioneer in the real dialogue between religions aiming to get to know the other and the tenet he believes in. The initiators of the discussion promised to continue these meetings in the time, making the discussion of issues existing in the three monotheistic religions possible.
