34-year-old Erhan Recep is the new deputy mufti of the Regional Mufti Office Kardzhali in Ardino Municipality.

Young Muslim theologian will be responsible and will manage the 42 mosque trustees in Ardino and Djebel municipalities. He was appointed by order of the General Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadji. Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed accompanied his new proxy in Ardino to present him and acquaint him with the local mosque trustee.
Guests were welcomed by the imam Orhan Yakub and the president of mosque trustee Tefik Eminov. They visited the town mosque, which was built more than 300 years ago and is the only one in the district having two minarets. The library in it will be also used as an office of the new proxy.
The Regional mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed clarified that there were proxies at the regional mufti offices in Aytos, Shumen and Pleven till that moment. "I'm grateful and happy because we will serve the Muslim community”, said Mr. Mehmed. On the territory of the Regional Mufti Office of Kardjali there are 222 mosque trustees, so the commitment is very high. Erhan Recep was born in 1977 in Benkovski village, Kirkovski region. He graduated from the High Islamic Institute in Sofia. He is married and has two children. Last Mufti of Ardino in 1950 was the late Ismail Mustafov from Ahryansko village.
